Sponsorship
A Sponsor is someone who demonstrates the following behaviors (on behalf of the person being sponsored) within the organization:
Boosts their image/brand
Makes introductions
Speaks up for them when they're not in the room to advocate for their advancement
Believes in them and takes risks on supporting their career
Gives honest feedback on their work performance

Mentorship
A Mentor supports the desired career growth of the mentee. Unlike sponsorship, mentoring can actually work both ways; less experienced employees can coach senior leaders on pain points such as technology and upskilling or cultivating an environment of inclusivity.

Allyship
An Ally is any person that actively promotes and aspires to advance others who have less access, authority or influence in their place of work. These intentional, positive and conscious efforts by an ally will benefit culture as a whole.
